Where to find your save
Locate the .ssfs gameplay slot or autosave you want to edit. Full slots contain level and inventory state; smaller static-only saves contain a narrower set of character and progression values.
- File
- A gameplay .ssfs file, such as NewSave_2.ssfs or AutoSave_1.ssfs
What you can edit
Windows unencrypted SFSS v4 / TurboStruct v1 saves. Existing scalar values can be changed; strings must keep the same serialized byte length. Collections keep their size. Other save versions and the forthcoming Steam release are outside this guide.
| Character attributes and progression | Existing character Level, experience, learning points, Strength, dexterity, spirit and technology, plus saved relationship and perk values. Only saved entries can be changed; new perks or characters cannot be added. |
|---|---|
| Story, quests and dialogue | Existing quest states and counters, story events, tutorial flags, active-quest and dialogue progress. |
| Inventory and level state | Existing stack counts, life-stat values, equipment and quick-slot fields, plus supported world-object flags and timers. These values require a full level slot. Numbered life-stat entries retain their technical labels rather than assuming health or stamina. |
Notes
- Thumbnails and unsupported native fields are retained. Edited files can be larger because changed compressed batches may be stored less compactly.
